1950S VTG RIO BRAZIL TEAK SERVING TRAY, REVERSE PAINTED GLASS W FOIL ACCENTS

This listing is for a gorgeous inlaid teak wood serving tray, with glass center that has been reverse painted, and then accented with foil to look like Mother of Pearl. The tray says "Rio de Janeiro" and was a souvenir from Brazil from the 1950's. The back of the tray has formica, so that it can be put onto a wet table without harming the tray. The tray is lovely - the only flaw I see is that the top butterfly has lost it's foil - it is now a light brown moth, instead of a bright blue butterfly like the one on the bottom. The white circle on the second photo is my flash. The brown butterfly doesn't really detract - most of the trays that I see like this one have huge foil and paint losses. This tray measures 16 3/4" by 9 1/4" edge to edge. The glass part measures 11 1/4" x 7 3/8". Because of the wood, formica and glass, it is quite heavy. It's a beautiful piece, fun to display and fun to use.

All items are shipped within 24 hours of payment! I try and recycle packaging materials as much as I can. I hate adding more garbage to the environment; if you receive a box from me that has been used before, I am "recycling". I will make sure it's sturdy and the item well packaged. I will ensure your item will arrive in good condition, but the box may not be pretty (or it might be - I have to buy boxes, as well). All shipping within the US is free to you. All my packages are tracked, but if for some reason you don't receive your item or it arrives broken, I will refund your money.
