Description

Heim joint mod kit for 1988 to 1997 model year Ford F-series equipped with the ZF 5 Speed S5-42 or S5-47 manual transmission. Replaces and eliminates Ford p/n E69Z-7526-A. This plastic bushing is the root cause of many, if not most clutch pedal issues for 88 to 97 model year trucks. The bushing wears and/or breaks and allows excessive movement between the clutch master cylinder pushrod eye and clutch pedal swing arm linkage (see image 4). This translates into difficult gear engagements, rough shifting, gear grinding, and excessive transmission wear.
This product permanently eliminates the plastic bushing with a non-wearing rod end. This product is backed by a lifetime warranty against wear and/or failure.
Kit includes rod end, full color step-by-step installation guide, and all necessary hardware to complete the installation. Basic hand tools are all that is required to perform this modification.
