Joseph Patrick "Joe" Kennedy, Sr. (1888-1969) was an American businessman, investor, and politician. He
served as the United States Ambassador to the United Kingdom from 1938 until late 1940. Rose Fitzgerald
Kennedy (1890-1993) was an author and wife of "Joe" Kennedy. They were the parents of John Fitzgerald
Kennedy, first Catholic President of the United States (1961-1963).
